How to travel without having to buy a plane ticket
Travel is a constant chore for most people, but for one young American family, it was a life-changing experience.
After months of searching for a suitable job and getting rejected, John and Linda Baughman had an idea.
It was time to travel.
They’re the first family to fly solo in a plane without an accompanying adult.
John Baughmans father, John, and Linda’s mother, Linda, have a business called American Eagle.
It’s a travel agency that does business in China, Mexico, and Europe.
The couple said they’re looking to hire a flight attendant in the United States, and they’re ready to start planning.
“We’re just waiting to hear if anyone wants to join us,” said John.
“We’re going to try to get the word out.”
In order to find the right person, John said they needed to have the right skills.
He said it would be easy to find a job in the States.
“I’m not sure why it takes so long to get an interview,” he said.
But there’s one job that’s available in America, and it’s the perfect opportunity to prove he’s a good fit.
“It’s just a job that I think is a lot easier than working in a hotel or a restaurant,” said Linda.
But for John, it’s a new experience.
“I think I just need to be comfortable, and I think that’s the most important thing,” he added.
The family has traveled to many countries, and now, John says they’re going back home to visit relatives in Mexico.
